“I know when I was picking a place for Isaiah, I had a lot of questions. It has been difficult for me to find people and places that are closer than a plane ride away that know Greenspan’s Floortime and other progressive theories. Kids CAN is creative and I like how the directors and staff know and educate themselves about the latest effective methods for treating ASD. I like how they will take that vast breadth of knowledge and apply it to Isaiah specifically. They take the time to get to know him and are constantly trying to work off his strengths to help him with his weaknesses. They consult people from a wide variety of disciplines from O.T. and music therapy and even therapy dogs, which saves me having to drive him from place to place to benefit from all the wide variety of applicable therapy knowledge available out there.
In the short time that Isaiah has been at Kids CAN, he has gone from non-intentionally verbalizing to being able to use the phrase “I want” intentionally and also following simple 1-step commands, which he only rarely did before.”

“Kids CAN has been very instrumental in helping my children in all aspects of their communication and social skills. Most importantly it has given them a new confidence,
that otherwise would not have been possible”.
“Our experience at Kids CAN has been great! The staff are enthusiastic and experienced working with ASD children. In our opinion this makes a world of difference for our son and us as well. The nature of their teaching eliminates the need for a 1:1 support worker that would otherwise be needed in a community-based program.”
“Our son had a great time, at a pace that he could manage. He learned skills in a positive and supportive environment.”
” This is a wonderful place for children to learn.”
” My son loves Kids CAN and has made remarkable progress in a very short time. He had his first successful play date with the neighbours! Kids CAN was the only social skills group I could find for my son’s age group. It is well worth the commute”
” I can see the improvements in my son’s social skills at home and when we have company, since he started the program. The service providers are knowledgeable professionals with obvious expertise in working with kids with autism. They are compassionate and truly want to help. This is evident in the way they communicate with parents and in their rapport with the kids. My son loves the program and this enables him to learn.”
“A truly valuable experience”
